The banister is a structure intended to act as a system of support. An architectural feature meant to provide balance and safety.
The banister simultaneously represents the physical demarcation of a barrier or a boundary and functions as a practical partition.
Care and containment overlap in broad circles.

Each spindle in these sculptures is distinct, running against the typical objective of uniformity. Most recognizable elements
embedded in these works depict useful objects, whether they are tools or are items meant to be consumed. A narrative based
in symbols is present, in modular pairings and possibilities.
